Lindyfest is Houston’s premiere Lindy Hop event. The Lindyfest workshop held every March is an amazing lindy hop weekend jammed packed with classes for all dance levels, soul sessions with living legends, hot performances and four endless nights of dancing. Lindyfest brings in hundreds of dancers from all across the globe to learn lindy hop from the masters and experience the excitement of lindy hop, all here in Houston. Harvest Moon Ball-Houston's Harvest Moon Ball was created to honor the spirit of dedicated dancers, friendly competition and collaboration by bringing two dance groups together, HSDS and the Rice Social Dance Society. The Harvest Moon Ball is the night to wear your sharpest clothing and dance the night away with great live music, performances and more!
Lindy Bowl-Lindy Bowl is HSDS's own version of the Superbowl! Four teams battle it out lindy style for the ultimate title of Lindy Bowl Champs! This event is always a crowd pleaser!
Weekend Workshops-Periodically we will bring you top-notch international instructors to help you work on new concepts and improve as dancers. Past workshops have included instructions from Dan Newsome and Tiffany Wine, Peter Strom and The Lindy Project
